Senior Electrical Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of complex aircraft arresting systems and architecture across hardware and software domains. The Senior Electronics Engineer will have prior design and development experience in electronic controllers and associated and software / firmware for critical motion control systems; ideally with experience in microprocessor and PLC based controllers and human-machine interface (touch screen) manual controls. The role serves as both an electronics system integrator and technical strategist:
Designing and developing electronic controllers and human-machine interfaces
Guiding next-generation system design initiatives to meet modernization
Performance, reliability, and scalability goals; defining system-level requirements
Coordinating cross-discipline interfaces
This role is fully on-site at the Aston, PA facility.
Location: Aston, PA
Salary: $115,000 to $130,000

Your Challenge:
Lead the design and development of electronic controllers, Human-Machine interfaces, all system interfaces and proof-of-concept prototypes to ensure seamless integration across all system elements.
Support and execute hardware/software integration, subsystem testing, and full-system acceptance testing to validate compliance with system requirements.
Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses, performance gaps, or integration risks across the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, trace, and verify system, hardware, and software requirements.
Define system architecture and framework based on functional, operational, and customer requirements.
Influence the design direction of future products by contributing to architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and system engineering best practices.
Develop and maintain system-level specifications, interface control documents, system requirements specifications, and hardware requirements specifications.
Participate in the definition and documentation of system input/output parameters, performance metrics, and hardware/software compatibility standards.
Required travel time is less than 10%.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of work experience. Preference given for defense or aerospace industry.
Foundation in design and development of electronic controllers for critical NI and SCADA systems (Backend and Ladder Logic).
Familiarity with industry standards for systems engineering processes.
Proven success in defining, documenting, and validating complex systems involving both hardware and software components.
Strong understanding of system-level engineering principles, interface management, traceability, and verification/validation practices.
Ability to analyze and optimize system level performance using advanced engineering tools including MATLAB and other related tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address cross-functional design challenges.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and interface with engineering, program management, and customers.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary development environment and managing competing priorities.
