Responsibilities of the Associate include, but are not limited to, the following:
Execution of Client Engagements
Conduct analyses of fundamentals, investor challenges and investor messaging opportunities and develop creative solutions for clients that address misperceptions and other issues that may adversely impact valuation
Assist in drafting a compelling investment thesis and supporting narrative to help clients retain current shareholders and appeal to prospective shareholders
Build financial models and conduct detailed financial and valuation analyses
Perform deep dives and benchmarking on companies and industries
Support all aspects of day-to-day client engagements
Prepare sophisticated and effective management/investor presentations, press releases, scripts and other deliverables relating to a range of fundamental and governance issues
Demonstrate the capacity to work directly with clients and prospective clients, successfully contributing to both relationships
Support Senior Leaders in Business Development
Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
Prepare senior leaders for pitch meetings with potential clients
Assist in creation of company-specific pitch materials highlighting the most relevant services for that particular prospect
Support the ongoing development of marketing materials
Firm Leadership
Serve as a leader and mentor to Analysts, helping to develop the next generation of Associates
Assist in identifying and recruiting new team members
Requirements
We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated and intelligent. Successful candidates will possess the following:
4+ years of work experience in a buy-side or sell-side equity research role and/or an advisory role providing strategic advice to public companies
Bachelor's Degree, with a strong academic record
Experience performing in-depth fundamental research
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and express complex strategies in an organized and articulate manner
Ability to comfortably interact with senior-level executives and clients
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Collaborative and team-oriented with sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Expected annualized base salary of $200,000 to $250,000.
