Human Milk Technician, C4B - NICU

About the role

36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE, nights 7p-7a, every other weekend, rotating holiday. Job Description Summary: Manages the preparation, distribution, and inventory of Human Milk (HM) and Donor Human Milk (DHM) Job Description: Essential Functions: Collects and processes human milk according to established protocols. Labels and stores human milk in appropriate containers and locations. Monitors and maintains inventory of human milk and supplies. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas. Monitors daily inventory and orders additional nutrition room supplies as needed, stocks nutrition room with all needed supplies. Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures and notifies engineering for assessment of potential/actual problems. Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: (not specified) Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of computer and software. Exhibit basic mathematical skills. Ability to understand and interpret basic medical terminologies.
