A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
Document patient information in their medical record.
Perform clerical, stocking, maintenance and related duties.
Prepare for the Certification Exam.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience in a customer-facing role OR additional formal education or training in ophthalmology
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Knowledge of medical terminology
Prior experience in healthcare settings in a patient-facing role.
Prior experience documenting exam findings in Epic

Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment utilized to perform testing procedures.
Manual dexterity to perform various exams and hold equipment; good eye-hand coordination; may require long periods of standing and walking.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
