AECOM is seeking a Water Process Designer. This is a newly created position that can be based in either our Markham or Mississauga, Ontario locations.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide and support multiple project functions related to project design, project delivery, project management and controls, coordination, multi-disciplinary design, and construction management to meet the Client's and AECOM's overall goals on multi-disciplinary projects
Prepare process design calculations, including equipment sizing and selection, process calculations, engineering design reports and memoranda, facility manuals, permitting and approvals, specification writing, Process Control Narrative development, cost estimating, etc.
Perform treatment studies, optimization studies, bench scale testing, pilot testing and full-scale testing activities
Effectively maintain and develop a healthy client relationship throughout the project execution and project close-out
Be a part of the team environment that supports AECOM's Client focus, where employees meet the expectations, requirements, and agreements of our clients.
Develop detailed work breakdown structures, schedules and project execution plan from preliminary design to contract administration
Support planning and preparation of accurate fee estimates to complete projects as well as baseline cash and financial performance indicators for project control
Perform construction inspection and contract administration duties
Proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues
Prepare and/or support with proposal capture plans and proposal documents
Perform business development activities, including seeking out new opportunities and enhancing existing projects
Support and lead design meetings and workshops and decision making with Clients and interdisciplinary design team members
Ensure compliance with AECOM's and the Client's quality policies and procedures
Consistently deliver on each project to achieve top-tier industry benchmarks for quality, overall project delivery and project financials.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil Engineering, or other related field.
2+ years of relevant work experience on municipal drinking water related projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience.
Ability to commute to projects sites in the GTA area
