Registered Nurse- PACU- Full Time (36 hours per week, day shift)

The PACU provides an excellent setting for post-operative and post-procedural care. Here patients can benefit from the latest technology and expert team of professional nurses and physicians who provide personalized care to meet their individual needs. The staff offers preoperative assessment and education, intraoperative support services, operative/procedural care, and post operative/post procedural care. These services are provided in a safe and caring environment that is tailored to the individual patient. A PACU RN provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. The PACU RN is responsible for monitoring and assessing the vital signs of patients, managing pain relief medications, administering intravenous fluids, and providing emotional support to family members during recovery. They also communicate with physicians regarding any changes in the patient's condition and may provide education to the patient's family about how to provide care for their loved one. The PACU RN must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while monitoring multiple patients at once and taking appropriate action when needed.
