Shape, define, and drive the implementation of the Medical Segment's overall pricing strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional business units.
Translate high-level pricing strategies into specific, actionable initiatives and ensure they are aligned with broader profitability drivers.
Establish, review, and continuously update strategic price recommendations, guardrails, and pricing policies based on competitive market intelligence and internal metrics.
Direct the strategic modeling, structuring, and execution of customer and GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) deals, keeping profitability at the forefront.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of Strategic Pricing and Analytics leaders, fostering deep expertise and strategic coordination.
Strengthen pricing tools, such as iPrice, Deal Sphere; integrate pricing and contract data; champion automation and AI-enabled future-state pricing capabilities.
Analyze complex business environments to identify revenue and margin expansion opportunities.
Collaborate and negotiate effectively across a highly matrixed environment, gaining alignment on strategy with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
Ensure the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of robust pricing processes, database systems, and compliance controls.
Facilitate best practice sharing across the strategic pricing function to elevate organizational capabilities.
Requirements
Ideally targeting candidates with 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic pricing, revenue management, or finance.
Prior leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of developing and mentoring professional-level teams, highly preferred.
Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed organization.
Advanced analytical and business acumen, with strong data analysis skills and experience manipulating complex, multi-source data.
Deep knowledge of customer deal economics, financial modeling techniques, and statistical/predictive modeling.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex quantitative data to diverse audiences.
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Anticipated salary range: $135,400 - $208,100

The Director, Pricing Strategy (Revenue Management) is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing market strategies that optimize profitability and value capture. In this role, the Director will shape the overarching pricing direction for our Medical Segment at Cardinal Health.
