Responsibilities

  • Leonardo have an exciting opportunity within the Operations Planning function for an Assistant Planning Manager who will be reporting to the Line of Business Planning Manager. You will be onsite during training and after that there is an opportunity to work a couple of days from home.
  • As a Assistant Planning Manager you will be:
  • Working with the Planning Manager and other Ass. Planning Managers to support/maintain all aspects of existing MPS Demand Process including the transfer to, and manage thereafter, utilising the new SAP via "P6 process".
  • Learn all aspects of how to run the standard Planning reports, understanding the need for all the data provided, while supporting Project meetings.
  • Maintain all process documents in relation to the SAP "P6" Go Live process delivering key stakeholder buy-in/compliance.
  • Support Planning Managers to ensure that the MPS and aggregated demand for relevant area including Firm projects and Prospects for the 3 month - 5 year window Labour & material including Forecast.
  • Support the weekly Demand, Supply and Capacity meetings utilising all existing reporting tools (Including new dashboard based reporting).
  • Support simulations, review demand and supply variability, escalate as require to procurement / project and maintain correct levels of safety stock & safety time
  • Work with the Planning Manager to manage the Inventory & optimisation through life cycle in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, requirements and Site targets.
  • Support the Disposal of Slow moving / dead stock
  • Work with the Planning Manager to maintain data integrity ensuring effective resolution of any master data issues.
  • If required support the management of Closed Projects.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Planning, MPS & Inventory controls would be beneficial but Training will be given
  • Knowledge of MRP principles (Demand & Supply)
  • Knowledge of implementing & managing change

Job Description: Salary: £37,318- 45,000 Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.
