Ensure clear understanding and implementation of the PUMA latest official guidelines related to T1 laboratory management across T1 supplier based on testing methodologies, standards and guidance defined by the PUMA laboratory manager.
Support PUMA development, manufacturing Operations and Quality Assurance teams in following up on product testing requests.
Support T1 laboratory audits to ensure compliance according to PUMA guidelines and follow up on implementation of corrective actions with a timely and sustainable closure.
Evaluate T1 laboratory processes, test methods, equipment calibration, safety compliance, documentation, and personnel competence, maintain records and follow up on progress.
Conduct training for T1 laboratories where necessary for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Ensure laboratory maintain accurate, traceable and audit-ready records in line with PUMA requirements.
Provide regular reporting to PUMA laboratory manager on execution status, risks and improvement opportunities.
Test Methods and Standards:
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to footwear physical and mechanical testing.
Conduct test trials, develop new test methods and standards as needed, or review and update the existing PUMA test methods and test standard as required.
Benchmarking and Regulatory Compliance:
Take part in industry benchmarking activities.
Stay abreast of footwear-related industry standards (such as SATRA, EN, ISO, ASTM).
Project Collaboration:
Participate in various projects related to innovation, development, and production.
Contribute insights to enhance product quality and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
Supplier Guidance:
Work closely with Tier 1 (T1) and Tier 2 (T2) supplier laboratories.
Provide guidance on adhering to quality standards and testing protocols.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
YOUR TALENT
Requirements
Bachelor degree with focus on Material technologies or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent education, or proven experience/expert within the footwear industry, with a strong understanding of Footwear product testing methodologies/standards and laboratory management.
Strong knowledge of industry footwear standards, testing methods, and regulations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
