Business Developer - Food Category

Requirements

• Food industry expertise will be preferred, but not mandatory
• Language capabilities: proficient English and Japanese are must. Well understand Japan business culture and collaborate with Japanese business partners
• Good supply chain, purchasing and supplier management experience. Solid legal & financial knowledge. Strong negotiation skills and communication capabilities. Understanding about Sustainability.

• Self-driven, strong team spirit, solution-oriented, with sense of urgency and responsibility

Main job responsibilities: Overall responsible for supplier performance and business relationship, building professional and long-term supplier relationship through IKEA way of doing business, based on a shared business model, trust and transparency Implement category strategy and strategic plan, drive constant supplier performance development from all aspects (Cost, Quality & Food Safety, Sustainability, Logistic) Work closely with business team and collaborate with related stakeholders in end-to-end Ikea food value chain (e.g. Retail, Range Area, Supply Chain Operation etc.) Lower total cost through value chain optimization, partner with suppliers to continuously enhance the competitiveness Act as ambassador of IKEA values, with fact-based business leadership
