Primary Function of Position The Inventory Counter 1 is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy by performing daily cycle counts, verifying material locations, and reconciling discrepancies in alignment with established procedures. Essential Job Duties Inventory Counting & Accuracy - Perform assigned daily cycle counts to verify physical inventory against system records. - Conduct random, scheduled and priority counts based on operational needs. - Ensure all counts are completed accurately, timely and in accordance with established procedures. Root Cause Analysis & Issue Resolution - Reconcile inventory discrepancies, escalating unresolved issues promptly. System Transactions & Documentation - Enter and update cycle count results in the ERP/WMS system Material Handling & Location Maintenance - Physically verify item locations, labeling and bin organization to support accurate picking and storage. - Ensure inventory is stored safely and in compliance with company standards. Cross-Functional Communication - Communicate discrepancies to inventory control, warehouse leadership and other stakeholders. Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Follow all SOX, GMP and internal control requirements where applicable. - Support internal and external inventory audit activities. Safety & Operational Excellence - Follow all safety procedures and operate material handling equipment as trained and certified. - Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 0-1 year of warehouse, inventory, or related experience. Experience may include internships, school training, or other positions involving material handling or inventory is beneficial but not required. - Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in counting and recording inventory. - Willingness and ability to follow verbal/ written instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Basic computer skills required; familiarity with MS Office and inventory systems is a plus. - Agility to learn and apply new skills, processes, and systems quickly. - Clear, respectful verbal and written communication skills. - Meticulously organized, with the ability to maintain records and files. - Team oriented and able to collaborate well with peers and take direction. - Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Required Education and Training - Possesses a high school degree or GED. Working Conditions - Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently each day. - Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting) is required (at least 70% of hours worked). - Safe operation of all material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks. Portable stairs etc.) with ISI Training and Certification Preferred Skills and Experience - Knowledge of GMP's - Previous work experience in a medical manufacturing environment. - SAP and Agile software experience.
