About the role
Reporting to the Faculty Services Manager, the Academic Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and academic coordination support for academic programs within the Goodman School of Business. They ensure smooth delivery of student services, program operations, and departmental processes, while maintaining compliance with institutional policies, procedures, processes and timelines. The Academic Coordinator acts as a key resource for Faculty leadership, and instructors, supporting program administration, academic integrity and financial processes. The Academic Coordinator will: Support administrative and coordination functions, for programs, labs and centers as applicable; Coordinate course collection, program planning, timetabling and scheduling to ensure efficient program delivery and alignment with registrar office timelines; Liaise with individuals/departments involved in program matters, both internal and external to the program (e.g., Registrar's Office, Academic Advisors, Experiential Education Coordinators, Recruitment); Maintain accurate and up-to-date course outlines, syllabi, and academic calendars; Coordinate teaching budgets, including TA and marker grader assignments/ hours, developing budgets, assigning hours and revising plans in consultation with Chair(s); Oversee TA and Instructor contractor entry, and support recruitment processes, including gathering requirements, tracking and ranking candidates, and ensuring compliance with collective agreements; Monitor TA budgets and offers and review timetables to determine staffing levels and ensure sufficient coverage Input department annual budget data into financial system; Monitor program and department budgets, identifying variances or issues as needed; Collaborate with internal and external partners to support faculty operations and initiatives; Monitor program and department budgets, identifying variances or issues as needed; Collaborate with internal and external partners to support faculty operations and initiatives; Assist Administrative Assistants during peak periods when workload permits; Support and facilitate student enrollment processes, including registration overrides and waitlist management as needed.
