About the role

Connecteam is looking for a highly analytical, hands-on, and systems-oriented Senior Lifecycle & Automation Manager to own and scale our lifecycle marketing efforts across the customer journey. You'll be responsible for designing, building, optimizing, and scaling lifecycle programs that improve lead nurturing, activation, engagement, pipeline generation and reactivation across both sales-assisted and product-led motions. We're looking for someone who thinks in funnels, behaviors, systems, experimentation, automation, and customer journeys and who can independently turn ideas into measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Strategy & Funnel Optimization
  • Own lifecycle marketing initiatives across lead nurturing, activation, onboarding, engagement, expansion, and dormant lead reactivation.
  • Design and optimize multi-step customer journeys across multiple touchpoints and lifecycle stages.
  • Build lifecycle programs that improve top-of-funnel conversion, product adoption, sales efficiency, and pipeline generation.
  • Identify friction points, drop-offs, and growth opportunities across the funnel.
  • Campaign & Automation Execution
  • Build and manage hands-on lifecycle campaigns and automations inside HubSpot.
  • Design, manage, and optimize cross-channel customer journeys across email, SMS, WhatsApp, SDR outreach, retargeting, and in-product experiences, while orchestrating scalable automations and workflows across multiple systems and tools.
  • Manage audience segmentation, behavioral targeting, personalization, and dynamic lifecycle experiences.
  • Run ongoing experimentation and A/B testing across messaging, timing, channels, CTAs, and workflows.
  • Build scalable lifecycle infrastructure and operational processes.
  • Monitor and optimize email deliverability, sender reputation, inbox placement, and lifecycle communication performance across channels.
  • AI & Marketing Systems
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI across lifecycle marketing, automation, customer communication, internal workflows, and growth operations.
  • Help define and build AI-powered tools, workflows, automations, and use cases for internal teams and customer-facing experiences.
  • Stay up to date with emerging AI tools, workflows, and best practices, and proactively bring new ideas into the organization.
  • Data, Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor and analyze lifecycle and funnel performance across activation, engagement, conversion, and reactivation metrics.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and insights using HubSpot, Looker, and other analytics tools.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with BI, Product, and Data teams on tracking, attribution, measurement, and event-based optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Content, Design, Sales, Growth, Marketing Ops, Product, and Data teams.
  • Help create scalable processes and operational excellence across lifecycle marketing.
  • Act as a strong independent owner capable of driving projects end-to-end.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, growth marketing, or related roles in a SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing lifecycle programs and automations inside HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of funnel optimization, lead nurturing, activation, customer engagement, and reactivation strategies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with data, identify patterns, and drive optimization decisions.
  • Experience running structured experimentation and A/B testing programs.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, BI, Data, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Strong operational and systems-thinking mindset.
  • High level of ownership and ability to independently drive execution and results.
  • Passion for AI, automation, and modern marketing workflows.
  • Experience building or implementing AI-powered workflows, tools, automations, or use cases, a major advantage.
