Responsibilities

  • Work is frequently performed under a variety of working conditions which may include exposure to hazards, disease, and inclement weather.
  • Participates in safety programs and follows OH&S directives relating to transfers, lifts, infection control, WCB and Fire Safety.
  • Assists in the orientation of new employees.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience :
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of B.C. (CPLBC)
  • Skills and Abilities :
  • Responsive, outgoing attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Competence to type and effectively utilize a variety of computer software applications.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency to communicate effectively in English - both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out duties of this position.

Benefits

The target hiring range for this position is $32.84 to $37.10 with a maximum of $41.35. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.The Salvation Army will provide reasonable accommodation upon request.
