Financial Transactions Specialist - Cashier - Full-time (80 hrs biweekly) minimal travel

About the role

Job Summary : To serve patients, visitors and associates through prompt, courteous and effective collection of cash receipts as well as being a customer relations ambassador for the Business Office. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: 1. Opens and sorts mail distributing it to the proper associates and endorsing checks for payments received. 2. Post cash receipts, discounts, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles accurately and timely for payments received. 3. Greets Business Office customers and assists them in directing them to the proper associate to address their need. 4. Accepts over-the-counter payments from our customers. 5. Reconciles daily cash received with posted receipts and resolves discrepancies. 6. Meets hospital mandatory minimum performance standards.
