"Rakuten Mart," a warehouse-based online supermarket business undertaken by Rakuten, is a new business model that achieves the nimble merchandising of a local store while maintaining a trade area comparable to that of a major retail chain.
By leveraging the characteristics of this business model to develop a unique product lineup, we aim to reform the domestic food distribution market and realize a society that provides higher added value for both users and producers.
Within the consumer distribution market, the food distribution market in particular is an area where the shift to e-commerce and digitalization lags behind. Department Overview
You will be responsible for business planning and business strategy promotion for "Rakuten Mart," an online supermarket handling fresh foods and daily necessities.

The Mart Planning & Marketing Section, to which you will be assigned, is responsible for formulating business strategies, managing KPIs, developing business, and managing projects to promote the Rakuten Mart business, with the goal of achieving sustainable growth for the Rakuten Mart business.

- Service Area and Delivery Methods of Rakuten Mart
We cover 12 million households in the Tokyo metropolitan area, shipping from two automated warehouse facilities. By building an efficient delivery network using an H&S (Hub & Spoke) model, we achieve same-day delivery and precise control of product temperature zones. Furthermore, our state-of-the-art automated warehouses allow for highly efficient operations by reducing walking time during product picking and streamlining product verification tasks.

Position Details
As a manager candidate, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Business KPI Management
- Setting, monitoring, and analyzing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for each business unit
- Preparing regular business performance reports and presenting them to senior management
- Identifying challenges and proposing improvement measures to achieve KPI targets
- Supporting efficient business operations and decision-making through data analysis
2. New Business Development
- Identifying new business opportunities through market research and competitor analysis
- Planning new businesses, building business models, and formulating business plans
Promoting projects through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) and evaluation for new businesses
- Formulating and executing strategies for the monetization of new businesses
3. Business Strategy Support
- Supporting the formulation of medium to long-term business strategies
Assisting in the execution of strategies through collaboration with management and business divisions
- Analyzing and proposing optimizations for the business portfolio
4. Project Management
- Managing the progress, resource allocation, and risk of multiple projects
- Ensuring the quality of project deliverables and adherence to deadlines
5. Other Duties
- Monitoring industry trends and technological developments
- Promoting internal AI implementation and operational efficiency improvements
- Collaborating with external partners as needed

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience in new business development or business planning
- Experience in data analysis and KPI management
