About the role
Responsible for all plant HR functions, programs, and activities, including: time & attendance, employment policies, compensation & benefits, training, staffing and employee relations. The Human Resources Manager plans and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organize and implement process for recruitment, selection and hiring both hourly and salaried personnel. Advise the Plant Manager on employee-related matters as they relate to the effective and efficient operations of the Plants. Drive Onboarding/Offboarding, and Retention and Attraction initiatives Maintain harmonious relations between team members and plant management. Disseminate management's position on appropriate matters to team members. Advise and apply plant handbook , company policies, government labor and employee laws such as LTF, IMSS, NOM035, etc. Establishes and coordinates continuing performance review procedures as appropriate, Continuous Improvement Discussion and Individual Development Form, Appraisal Surveys and Succession Planning. Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of required plant, group, corporate, governmental and internal/external reports as required. Administer and facilitate Morale Survey and coordinate follow-up and closure on issues. Establish and maintain accurate personnel records which fulfill legal, corporate, and general business requirements. Administer hourly wage and salary administration. Oversee the records to track new hire hourly progression in the wage structure. Assist management in accurate lay-off procedure in the event of a shutdown. Assures an appropriate training plan is in place which identifies the needs of the Plant. Training programs should be designed to develop a high degree of competency, performance, and commitment at all employee levels. Responsible for implementation of corrective and preventative action and follow-up when discrepancies are detected. Assist the management team in establishing and monitoring programs to control employee functions such as attendance, tardiness, turnover and disciplinary actions. Maintain a positive Employee Relations/Recognition Program and coordinate employee engagement events. Participates in local union negotiations and administers the labor agreement EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
