12+ years of experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Structural design of metallic and composite components and assemblies.
Material selection, compatibility and manufacturing techniques.
Strong mechanical design and integration skills using ProEngineer Wildfire 4, Creo Parametric, NX and/or Catia.
Familiar with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
Technical writing experience for reporting requirements, test plans etc.
10+ years of experience in aerospace or space
Experience on aerospace or space development programs
Pressure vessel design for high pressures
Both metallic and composite design, in particular composite filament winding
Experience working with and managing vendors in developing COPV architecture for the purpose of launch vehicles.
Experience with Human spaceflight

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create architecture and detailed designs
Create CAD models, detailed drawings, manufacturing processes associated with composites and pressure vessel's
Develop and execute test plans for COPV qualification and acceptance, including performing tests and analyzing data.
Partner with third-party vendors for COPV design, manufacturing, and analysis, and manage these relationships
Support integration of COPV's on the vehicles and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as propulsion, structures, and manufacturing.
Conduct research and analysis to identify and implement design improvements for COPV's for future vehicle and applications.
