Job Description Summary: The Configuration Analyst assists senior level configuration analysts in managing and controlling configuration items (CI's), ensuring the integrity and traceability of product configurations throughout the lifecycle of a project. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of CM processes and procedures in alignment with industry standards and company requirements. Participate in both configuration control board (CCB) and Design Review Board (DRB) meetings and provide configuration management input as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and program management, to ensure CM processes support and align with program requirements. Assist in generation and distribution of CM reports and metrics providing visibility into the configuration status of changes objects. Support Senior CM team member with the preparation and execution of configuration audits and reviews. Assist in the resolution of configuration related issues and discrepancies. Assist with the release process to ensure accuracy and completeness of change objects. Assist with preparation of monthly deliveries of revised work products. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommended solutions. Skills/Abilities Basic understanding of CM principles, practices, and standards Familiarity with military/commercial CM and documentation-related specifications and standards (such as ANSI/EIA-649, ASME/Y14, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-961, etc.) Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management requirements Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Familiarity with configuration management tools such as PLM databases. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly Education Requires a minimum of a associate degree in engineering or related field, a bachelor's degree is preferred. Equivalent work experience in Configuration Management, or a related field may be considered.
