Conduct complex legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
Draft discovery requests and discovery responses
Review and analyze documents and materials for production
Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies
Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds
Work on all aspects of litigation, from the initial responsive pleading through trial or mediation
Manage and supervise associates and paralegals.
Education and Experience
Admitted to practice in New York
J.D. 2016 or earlier
Litigation experience
Experience taking depositions
Excellent academic credentials
Skills and Ability
Exceptional legal writing and communication skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Clyde & Co is seeking a counsel-level litigation attorney with 8+ years of experience to work with our practice focused on the defense of a myriad of complex general liability matters, including (but not limited to) New York Labor Law, premises liability, catastrophic injury, hospitality, transportation, and negligent security. The ideal candidate is proactive, motivated, and organized and possesses superior writing skills. The attorney will interact with our clients and other domestic and international insurers in this space and in relation to other latent type insurance claims.
