About the role
As a leading financial services and healthcare technology company based on revenue, SS&C is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut, and has 27,000+ employees in 35 countries. Some 20,000 financial services and healthcare organizations, from the world's largest companies to small and mid-market firms, rely on SS&C for expertise, scale, and technology. Join our Quality Infrastructure team as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and help shape the automation platforms that product development teams rely on every day. You will design, build, and maintain the frameworks, CI pipelines, and reporting systems that power end-to-end quality for the SS&C Advent Eclipse cloud investment platform. We welcome candidates new to finance Why Join SS&C SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence. You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments. How You Will Make an Impact The SS&C Advent Eclipse™ solution is a born-in-the-cloud investment solution that supports start-up, emerging equity-, and event-focused hedge funds' full investment process in a single, unified platform through a secure web browser interface. The Quality Infrastructure team builds and operates the automation and quality tooling that product development scrum teams depend on. Our customers are the developers, testers, and scrum teams who add tests, consume dashboards, and rely on healthy CI to ship confidently. As an SDET on this team, you will build and improve the platforms and services behind that experience rather than writing product tests directly. Develop, extend, and maintain automation frameworks used across multiple scrum teams (API-level and UI-level, e.g., Cypress-based). Build and maintain CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) that execute end-to-end integration and regression suites. Troubleshoot CI failures, flaky tests, and environment issues; support product teams in unblocking their workflows. Contribute to test-reporting and alerting infrastructure: data pipelines, dashboards (Grafana), and integrations (PagerDuty, Slack). Collaborate with product scrum teams to understand their testing needs and translate them into framework features and CI improvements. Participate in code reviews focusing on reliability, maintainability, and developer experience. Identify opportunities to reduce feedback-loop time, improve test stability, and increase coverage across the platform. Document framework usage, onboarding guides, and runbooks so teams can self-serve effectively. Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development, debugging, and test authoring. Required Experience Degree OR equivalent practical experience (projects, internships, bootcamp, self-directed work) in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. Familiarity with at least one programming language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or Go. Understanding of core testing concepts (unit vs integration vs end-to-end). Curiosity, structured problem solving, clear written and verbal communication.
