The Senior Advisor for Research and Policy Strategy ("Senior Advisor") will leverage extensive experience in high-level policy development and execution to support the Research Innovation team and the wider office in addressing New York City's most pressing community safety challenges. Materials could include short fact sheets, policy/research briefs, presentations or longer white papers. - Strengthen MOCJ's interagency coordination efforts, leveraging deep relationships across city and state agencies to develop solutions to current and long-standing challenges in areas including integrating public health and community safety solutions with precision, transit crime, gun violence, case processing, and service coordination for high-need populations. - Serve as a consultant to executive management on projects and programs and provide status updates to executive staff and other parties. - Provide high-level research and analysis expertise to optimize the office's existing data infrastructure, ensuring it effectively supports the design and implementation of key strategies. - Contribute to long-term strategic planning, building a foundation for developing additional subject-matter expertise within the Research team. - Advise and assist with public information and outreach to effectively communicate administration priorities, achievements, and impact; work with Mayor's and agency communications teams to develop strategies beyond traditional media.
