Act as a strategic thought partner to the Head and the Medical Directors team to shape the overarching medical strategy for AD, translate priorities into actionable plans, and support decision-making across the portfolio.
Lead annual and long-range planning processes, in coordination with Finance, HR, and cross-functional partners, to ensure workforce, budget, and activity plans support strategic goals and are executed with discipline.

Develop and manage strategic content, leadership updates, and materials for governance, senior leadership, and cross-functional forums; track decisions, action items, and follow-up to support execution and accountability.
Manage annual goal setting, key milestones, and progress tracking to ensure strategic objectives are clear, measurable, and advancing as planned.
Lead and participate in critical planning meetings and cross-functional committees to develop objectives and implement strategies and procedures; represent the business unit on behalf of the Head as needed.
Identify and drive opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance operational excellence, scale execution, and strengthen coordination across the Strategy & Execution network, regions, therapeutic areas, and functions.
5+ years of experience working in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences industry within Medical Affairs, R&D, or Commercial Operations is required.
Experience in project/portfolio management and governance support is required.
Experience in budget planning and management is required.
Excellent social competencies and ability to drive results cross-functionally and within a highly matrixed organization effectively and efficiently.
Outstanding communication skills and strong ability to build and cultivate internal and external networks (including influence without formal authority).
Strong ability to identify and mitigate risk, analyze and solve problems, and formulate and drive key decisions.

About This Role
The Associate Director, Global Medical Strategy & Execution (S&E) - Alzheimer's Disease (AD), is responsible for driving the development and execution of the strategic plan and related initiatives for the Global Medical AD portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Global Medical Strategy & Execution, this role will be part of a team of strategy and execution leads that collaborate to drive consistency across the Global Medical units, ensure the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Medical Leadership Team are informed, and ensure Medical brings forward a single view for leadership at cross-functional leadership forums. The incumbent will serve as a strategic thought partner to Head of Global AD & MS (Multiple Sclerosis), helping translate strategy into execution, drive prioritization, anticipate risks, and coordinate critical business and operational activities. This role will have oversight of medical planning processes (e.g. budget planning), contractors/vendors used for Medical activities and processes (e.g. SOW, PO, and serving as point-of-contact), governance preparation and follow-up, and other strategic and operational initiatives as needed. In this highly matrixed role, they will identify and oversee critical operational aspects, align cross-functional stakeholders, track decisions and deliverables, remove barriers to execution, and contribute to the Global Medical S&E Team to ensure strategic alignment and awareness for the CMO.
