About the role

Assistant United States Attorneys prosecute all criminal and civil cases brought by the federal government and defend the United States in civil cases. As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement for units in the Criminal or Civil Division. This position is located in Boston but additional positions may be filled in Springfield, MA or Worcester, MA. Required qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the bar in good standing (in any jurisdiction), and have at least three years post-J.D. legal experience. Preferred qualifications: Five years of experience practicing criminal law and/or civil litigation, superior academic credentials, and a demonstrated interest in public service. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
