Responsibilities
- Program Management and Administration
- Supervision
- Supervises assigned staff, including Student Development Specialist (Case Managers).
- Budget
- Provides managerial and budgetary support to SAS staff so they can plan, develop, implement, and manage programs and activities to support students.
- Stakeholders and Liaising
- Maintain positive working relationships with office and department stakeholders.
- University/Division/Department Duties
- Serves as a representative on Department, Division, and University committees and task forces, at events, and to department stakeholders as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience.
- Master's Degree.
- 5 years experience working in a higher education setting.
- Experience with case management in a higher education setting.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with others.
- Understanding and knowledge of college student development.
- Ability to plan and implement programs.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to positively and professionally interact with students and staff
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of office software and computer programs
- Knowledge of principles and methods for student development and engagement
- Skilled in utilizing various learning and active listening strategies
- Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
