We are looking for a results orientated individual to join our team as our Regional Sales Support Engineer who will report directly to the Sales Development Manager - Screens and Feeders - Africa. Purpose of the role: To drive capital equipment sales of Sandvik vibrating screens and feeders by submitting proposals, supporting customers with technical solutions, and ensuring market penetration. The role bridges technical application expertise with commercial execution, focusing on long sales cycles, project-based opportunities, and strategic accounts. The job responsibilities: Support the development of greenfields install base tenders. Participate and be an active member within the Sales Development EMEA team. Support the screening solutions technical support team for Africa. Ensure smooth quotation support for SK-Range EQ inquiries across EMEA region The scope includes the full portfolio of all screen ranges within the Africa region (SK-Range EMEA) Use MAPL (Minimum Acceptable Pricing Level) and margin data for different regions to determine best profit / hit rate on tenders Track and analyse key market trends and competitive landscape to support business development and strategy formulation. Support a "work smarter no harder" environment by applying simple solutions to everyday, repetitive tasks and sharing them among the teams. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and ensure consistent messaging to clients. Support the development of tailored customer success plans/WIN Plans to ensure clients and Sandvik entities maximize the use of products and services. Support fabrication of customer training materials, workshops, and resources to improve product knowledge and enhance client satisfaction. Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing expert advice and ensuring smooth onboarding and continued product adoption. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business goals, challenges, and KPIs. Proactively engage with clients to identify potential issues and ensure ongoing satisfaction. Address client concerns promptly and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve any problems before they escalate. Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with clients to ensure goals are being met and opportunities for improvement are identified. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, product adoption, and account growth. Continuously assess internal processes and tools to drive improvements in service delivery and customer experience. Capable of collaborating and accommodating customers/stakeholders across different time zones. EHS Responsibilities: Strong understanding and compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace Medically fit to be onsite from time to time and comply with the minimum health regulations associated with mining/plant environments. Competencies: Mandatory knowledge of vibrating equipment Good understanding of mining site plants and process engineering Ability to work in a matrix organization environment Sound judgement and problem-solving ability Listening and logic interpretation Strong customer orientation Advanced communication skills Must be flexible and self-reliant, self-starter Excellent time management Strong business development capabilities Strong understanding and compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace Ability to function independently and with responsibility and managing teams Follow-through ability to complete tasks Profile Required: Professional qualification at the level of Mechanical Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in the proposal's environment specifically with regards to vibrating screens and feeders. Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and margin optimization. Experience in developing training materials and customer success programs. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
