Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security stakeholders to understand business priorities, technical requirements, and supplier needs, while helping manage risk and accelerate decision-making.
Translate business requirements into sourcing strategies across software, cloud, developer tools, cybersecurity, AI, and technical services categories.
Lead RFx processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contracting.
Assess suppliers based on technical fit, security requirements, total cost of ownership, scalability, and business value.
Collect data and perform spend analysis, analyze and report data to explain market trends, savings and improvement opportunities.
Own and drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Security, Legal, Finance, and Procurement during sourcing and contracting processes including providing executive summaries to Box leadership.
Negotiate commercial terms for SaaS, cloud, security, AI, and technical services agreements including but not limited to SLAs, termination, license definitions and renewal clauses.
Drive supplier performance management, business reviews, and continuous value creation
Additionally, you will:
Develop strong relationships with internal partners and bring a customer-service mindset.
Proactively meet with internal partners for supported categories and build relationships.
Structure agreements to balance speed, flexibility, risk mitigation, and long-term value.
Organize and lead business reviews, including the development, preparation and review of supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Resolve major supplier performance issues.
Negotiate best in class contracts to maximize benefits and minimize risks at Box.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Procurement or a related field with 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing. A master's degree and/or APICS certification is a plus.

Box is building our Strategic Sourcing Value team.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to Box's Engineering, Product, and Security teams. This role will lead sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution across a portfolio of technology categories, including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, cybersecurity, AI-enabled solutions, and technical services. The ideal candidate brings strong technology sourcing experience, is comfortable working with highly technical stakeholders, and can balance commercial value, speed, scalability, and risk management in a fast-paced environment.
Activities include requirements gathering, supplier evaluations and supplier selection. You will lead negotiations and spearhead RFXs and competitive bids as necessary. You will use strong analytical skills to develop cost models and creatig negotiation strategies aligned with business goals.
You will bring strong negotiation experience and a solid understanding of how to structure and draft agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, order forms, SOWs, and software licensing agreements. You will work with Legal, Compliance, SP&A, and business teams to initiate, review, and manage contracts, including renewals.
