In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include comprehensive knowledge of logistics management operations that involve wing-level planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, support agreement and war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control. Work requires considerable skill in applying and integrating this knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and or to identify, analyze, and resolve logistics management issues or problems. In-depth knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS) which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations ( e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool). OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. FEDERALTIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Knowledge of the deliberate planning process, procedures, and requirements and the military philosophical concept behind the process. 2. Ability to recognize the interrelationships of the various aspects of operating programs and skill in integrating and analyzing such information in order to evaluate overall program status. 3. Ability to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 4. Knowledge of logistics principles, and practices and organization and of the functionality of transportation systems (i.e., DCAPES, JOPES, SORTS, etc.) and other systems which interface/relate to this system to effectively manage readiness exercise planning data. 5. Ability to analyze the requirements identified by logistical functional areas and to coordinate and integrate the requirements through the application of automated data systems. 6. Ability to review documents, records and reports to ensure conformance with generally accepted principles, new operating procedures and revised regulations. OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS: 1. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. 2.
