Dynamet is a member of Carpenter's Performance Engineered Products division and maintains a second manufacturing facility in western Florida. Primary Responsibilities for Technician I Quality: Train and develop knowledge of the analytical methods assigned in each area. Prepare hot roll microstructural analysis, which includes cutting, mounting and polishing. Also supports the testing of hydrogen and the tensile testing of material for final properties. Perform calibrations, machinery maintenance and procedure review. All duties will be to support the laboratory, which may also include filing paperwork or entering data into Dynamet's Axiom ERP system. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. Required for Technician I Quality: High School Diploma required. Entry level position 0-2 years of relevant experience. Preferred for Technician I Quality: Ability to develop knowledge and skills in basic practices and procedures within own department or area and apply basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work. Requires knowledge of quality control principles, standards, methods and practices and quality control equipment. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Work in a fast-paced production/industrial environment. Elementary knowledge of appropriate test equipment related to specific assigned tasks. Applicable knowledge of LIMS system. Applicable knowledge to use instrument hardware and software. Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry methodology. Ability to develop sample preparation and analytical chemistry skills needed to do routine analysis. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to operate a computer workstation and the related hardware and software. Ability to work in a production-oriented environment. Ability to work with direct supervision. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic laboratory skills. Mechanical skills to perform routine maintenance on instruments.
