As the Program Director you will have oversight and be responsible for coordinating and managing the overall assigned programs (4 in total, spanning from South Austin to Bastrop) in relation to individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD). The program director is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the program including but not limited to developing individual goals and plans, implementing program. This position is a mixture of both direct care and supervisory duties. Assure coordination and management of the overall operations, medical, financial and maintenance aspects of the programs, through guiding and directing the designee of the site. Ensure the atmosphere of the overall program is therapeutic, provides optimal growth for individuals, and preserves individuals' dignity and self worth. Schedule, lead, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, while assuring continuity between services. Communicate directly with case managers/service coordinators in a manner that encourages the continued growth and happiness of individuals. What Makes You A Great Fit : Bachelor's degree in a human services field of study required. A program director must have the qualifications of an intellectual disability professional, based on a bachelor's degree in a human services field plus a minimum of one-year, full time, direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities. Prior experience in developing and implementing participants programs, implementing budgets, and supervising employees is desired. Must demonstrate good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible. Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
