Relationship Associate Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Relationship Associate to join our New York City office. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office. The Associate partners with the firm's Client Service team, which is comprised of Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationship Managers, in managing the wealth and financial needs of our High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients. The role requires regular interaction with HNW clients and follow-up and management of ongoing client deliverables. As our Associates gain more experience, they take on greater responsibility on smaller client relationships so that Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationship Managers can focus on larger and more complex client relationships. How You Will Add Value Works with Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationships Managers (RMs) on HNW family relationships, including: account administration, preparing wealth projections, preparation of cash flows, fee reviews, and preparation of presentations for client meetings. Reviews daily overdraft report to determine how to cure income overdrafts. Coordinates with Portfolio Manager/Investment Team to raise cash to cure principal overdrafts. Initiates wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, and gifts & contributions. Assists clients with their charitable gifts and confirming gift details. Reviews trust documents and ensures all transactions are in compliance with the trust agreement and state laws. Works closely with internal Trust Officers, as applicable, to establish and maintain client contact. Acts as a key point of contact for client and intermediaries with accountants, attorneys, and other advisors. Coordinates trust terminations and account closing in coordination with our Trust Counsel and tax department. New Account Openings: Analyzes relevant documents to begin KYC. Reviews account openings with RM to determine proper administration of account, state law requirements, beneficiaries, tax suits, fee analysis, etc. Partners with Relationship Manager to understand client's goals, which may include attending client meetings to better understand clients' extended family and subsequent generations. Provide excellent client service to internal partners and high-net-worth (HNW) clients. Manage all follow-up and/or ongoing client service deliverables. Communicate with other areas within the company (Legal, Marketing, Operations, Investment Management, Estate Administration, Compliance, Account Services) to meet deliverables. Support Trust Officers on various types of client service matters.
