We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Stakes Coordinator. An individual could be successful if they possess the following. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for attaining stakes nominations for trainers across the country Keep accurate records of all horses nominated for stakes races Ensure all fees are received as required by the condition book. Contact horsemen before payment deadlines to ensure that horses are eligible for stakes races and to discuss entering a horse in stakes races not previously nominated Ability to work required overtime Regular punctual attendance required Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests Punctual attendance required Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Highly organized and detail oriented Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment. Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Must possess the highest of moral integrity and a strong work ethic Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to maintain a calm, professional and friendly demeanor in all situations Ability to handle several tasks at the same time High School Graduate or GED required Previous work with thoroughbred horses a must Previous race track experience SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
