THE JOB: As a Sous Chef at Diablo's inside Luxor, you'll lead the creation of vibrant, flavor-packed dishes inspired by bold Mexican and Southwestern cuisine, ensuring every plate meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. Working alongside a talented culinary team, you'll bring fresh ingredients, dynamic flavors, and creative execution together to deliver an unforgettable dining experience. Your passion for exceptional food and culinary excellence will help make every meal a standout part of each guest's visit. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Train Master Cooks, Cooks, Pantry Workers and Helpers on job responsibilities Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation Maintain knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees Assist the Executive Chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items Prepare and administer kitchen schedule Assist Executive Chef by establishing goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: High School Diploma or GED Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays 2+ years of prior relevant experience as a supervisor/chef Associate's degree F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute p referred Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement p referred 5+Years of prior relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant production as well as in a hotel/casino environment p referred THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=10352 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW ?
