Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to support and lead environmental review efforts in our New York City office. This role is intended for a senior professional with 10+ years of experience leading CEQR analyses, including preparation of Environmental Assessments (EASs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), for complex public and private development and infrastructure projects in New York City, with a demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, contribute to business development efforts, and lead multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of complex CEQR projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated deep expertise in the application of the CEQR Technical Manual and a proven ability to lead defensible CEQR analyses through the full review process, including scoping, agency coordination, technical review, and preparation of findings. Experience navigating NYC agency technical review processes and ensuring consistency between CEQR analyses and permitting and implementation requirements is essential. Salary range starts at 130k to 180k based on experience.
