About the role
This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by configuring, maintaining and optimizing time tracking and scheduling processes and systems. Will ensure accurate data flow for payroll, troubleshoot system issues, and provide analytics. Job Description Job Duties Time Tracking & Scheduling system configuration, operational integration and optimization Translate HR and Payroll time policies into system configuration and facilitate change within systems as policies update. Manage and maintain the Workday Time Tracking module for Mercy, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in time tracking and Workday scheduling processes. Lead as a functional System Administrator for ShiftWizard, to optimize employee scheduling. Collaborate with IS and 3rd party vendors to configure and test integrations between systems. Participate in system upgrades and testing to ensure accuracy of time data, and proper data flow between time tracking and scheduling modules. Monitor outcomes from each system and assist with adoption tracking. Partner with internal leaders to optimize time tracking and scheduling processes and gain efficiency. Translate business requirements into system functionality, collaborating with stakeholders for improvements. Identify, test, and implement AI tools to drive efficiency within Time Tracking & Scheduling applications. Evaluate effective use of scheduling/staffing and time tracking to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in scheduling and pay practices across Mercy. System Support & Training Serve as a subject matter expert for Time Tracking & Scheduling applications, providing troubleshooting support to users and cross functional teams. Understand schedule processes and assist leaders with creating schedules. Support leaders with updating staffing plans in Shift Wizard according to the approved budget each fiscal year. Provide communication and education for Time Tracking and Scheduling. This includes designing training documentation and delivering education to users, including Managers and Supervisors. Ensure stakeholders receive updates regarding new functionality and upgrades. Collaborate with business leaders to develop and deliver reporting, dashboards, and analysis. Labor Resource Analysis & Support Provide Workforce data and summaries to support the Director, Workforce Strategy, Planning & Resource Management, as well as the Labor Resource & Operational Data Analyst. Support operational benchmarking processes. Support productivity & labor expense reporting processes, and serve as a backup for the Functional Systems Administrator of Operations Advisor. Analyze labor data, as needed, to support Labor Resource Management team. Support Position Review Council process. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of payroll processes and time policies. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Professional Experience 2 years' experience in HRIS, payroll, or time tracking, or other equivalent experience. Experience implementing process &/or system changes. Experience developing & delivering education preferred. Previous experience with staffing/scheduling and time/attendance automated systems preferred. Previous experience with Workday or other HRIS preferred. Healthcare experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Excel. Education Associate's degree in business, Human Resources, information systems, or healthcare related degree.
