What Your Job Will Be Like: Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethics Business Conduct Manager to lead the Ethics program within the Independent Audit, Ethics, and Assurance Program. This critical leadership role involves supervising a team of investigators and an analyst responsible for conducting internal ethics investigations, managing case workflows, and administering SNL¿s Personal Conflicts of Interest program. The Manager will play a key role in the development, implementation, and administration of ethical policies, training programs, and compliance initiatives that support Sandia¿s mission and uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability. On any given day, you may be called on to: Guide the work of the department. Understand the work of the organization and connect the work and expertise of the organization with potential beneficiaries, collaborators, and customers. Promote excellence by managing and coordinating specific deliverables, overall program and project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements. Ensure that customer needs are satisfied through the creation of trust-based relationships. Apply organizational knowledge and experience to independently assess work quality, performance, and alignment of results with customer expectations. Oversee and manage members of the workforce within the organization, including hiring, professional development, and assessment and performance management, consistent with the mission of the organization. Counsel and assist employees and management on U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) contract compliance and SNL policies or procedures to ensure compliance. Ensure the design, development, and maintenance of applicable programs for areas of functional responsibility or responsibilities. Provide guidance and interpretation of policies and programs; develop and implement updated policies and procedures in a timely manner; and ensure proper communication to employees and other organizations on the implementation of policies, procedures, and practices. The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Salary Range: $138,600 - $235,700 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, plus eight (8) or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job. Or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. A minimum of three (3) years of professional personnel or management experience involving significant responsibilities in programs that included investigating complaints of discrimination, workplace harassment, retaliation, business misconduct, internal corporate policy violations, and/or waste/fraud/abuse. Experience in the following: Interactions with all levels of management on sensitive topics, requiring a high degree of discretion and sound judgement. Data analysis (gathering, inspecting, interpreting, and reporting data; verifying and drawing accurate conclusions from the data provided). Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance. Qualifications We Desire: Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated leadership experience. Thorough knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to EEO and waste/fraud/abuse issues and experience investigating employee complaints and managing institutional responses to them.
