About the role
The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers. Using a cloud first approach, our Infrastructure department provides the foundation for all of our IT and communication services. As an experienced Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of our core modern enterprise infrastructure and systems. This is a broad network engineering role. Alongside 'BAU' responsibilities, you will help deliver ongoing service improvements and contribute to the implementation of projects, ensuring that current and future requirements are met. If you are looking for a network engineering role where you can build on existing expertise, take ownership of your technical development, and play an active role in driving innovation, automation and service improvement, then this role could be a great fit for you. We are looking for engineers who are already operating at a strong level, with a proactive approach to learning through self-study, lab work and engagement with evolving network technologies.
