Description of Work This position reports to the Administrative Specialist II in Human Resources and indirectly reports to the Administrative Officer III at a multi-custody female correctional facility. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Providing clerical support services to the Administrative/Human Resources Section. 2. Understanding and providing support in regard to Employee Benefits. 3, Maintaining files/records according to departmental policy to allow quick, easy access and retrieval of information requested. 4. Possessing and utilizing solid communication skills both orally and written. 5. Composing memos/letters and proofreading documents for spelling/punctuation/grammar. 6. Inputting and comprehending computer-generated data. 7. Reviewing completed tasks to ensure accuracy/integrity of information. 8. Working under stressful conditions in meeting daily/monthly deadlines. 9. Receiving and processing sectional mail. 10. Maintaining all aspects of the hiring process/setting up interviews. 11. About Anson Correctional Institution Anson Correctional Institution houses female offenders in medium and close custody housing units. Anson CI offers a wide variety of educational, vocational, and training programs. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE). Family and friends can order a package of goods from a pre-approved shopping list to send to an offender. Orders are packaged by offenders and shipped quarterly.
