Job Description Summary
ORGANIZATION SUMMARY STATEMENT
The University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate Candidate to apply.
This postdoc will perform research on 3D scene reconstruction, novel view synthesis and inverse rendering, building on state of the art techniques such as neural radiance fields, Gaussian splatting and differentiable rendering. In addition to independent research, collaboration on and contributions to larger projects is expected. The postdoc will participate in internal reading groups, seminars and meetings to contribute to research activities in our team.
RESPONSABILITES INCLUDE:
Publishing and Presentations: The postdocs will write and publish academic papers to present research results at top venues in computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning. The postdoc may also organize and participate in relevant workshops to disseminate their work in the research community.
Mentoring: The postdoc will mentor and guide graduate and possibly undergraduate students in their research work on related topics.
Grants: The postdoc may apply for and secure grants and fellowships to fund future research.
