See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview : Electrical Engineer II supports the PD&E design team by designing, developing, testing, and improving power conversion and energy storage products. The role focuses on PCBA design and validation, component selection, system-level electrical design, and support for certification (EMI and safety), working closely with mechanical and cross‑functional teams. They also contribute to product maintenance, supplier and sourcing decisions, and continuous improvement, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and a commitment to quality and learning. Essential Functions: Responsible for the development of ruggedized products, to be used in Marine and/or Mobile-RV environments; makes the translation from functional requirements into a diagrams, which are translated into physical design with electronic components. Assists in the peer reviews the electrical designs from other projects. Translates the electrical design (e.g. proposal, sketch or simulation) into PCBA prototypes by means of ECAD design tools. Validates the prototypes and chooses the components that are part of a complete product. Validation is done by black box testing and more in-depth testing (e.g. simulation, lab equipment, program of demands). Contributes to the electrical design and architecture by supporting the overall system view of electrical aspects, considering technical complexity, product performance, timelines, and cost. Works closely with the project team to help align mechanical and electrical design aspects. Shares knowledge with team members and supports peers when needed. Supports compliancy certification (i.e. EMI, Safety) of products. Tests and approves electrical components and their alternatives as part of product maintenance. Approval is based on samples, data sheets, specifications and evaluation reports. Provides input for component choices for electronic designs. Maintains E-CAD components in the company component library. Responsible for continuous improvement of the products and techniques. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Electrical/Electronic field of study. 5+ years of experience in product development in an engineering environment. Experience in electronic design, validation and production of electronic products. Knowledge of power conversion topologies. Natural proficiency with test and measurement equipment. Capability to assist peers and colleagues. Experience with ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design. Experience with simulation tools for electronics design (such as Spice, PLECS, MatLab). Knowledge of product compliance standards (CE, UL, E-Mark, etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with a global team/audience. Professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions. High level of self-reliance and problem-solving mindset.
