Product Development Engineer

About the role

Running targeted functional, environmental and application testing to understand key performance attributes and reliability of our products Defining test plans, implementation & data capture and collating of results into test reports that can be effectively communicated to all areas of the business up to and including senior management Analysing datasets using industry standard tools such as Minitab, MATLAB, Python, Excel etc. Proving out and developing new design solutions for continuous improvement within various applications About you Either educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline, a served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a CNC machining/engineering environment Proven experience in setting up and running of CNC machines (predominantly milling) Ability to be methodical, organised and procedural in your approach to problem solving Demonstrable ability in organising, filtering, manipulating and analysing large data sets Ability to be creative in producing new test practices which improve the product development process Person specification As a Product Development Engineer at Renishaw, you'll be motivated to contributed to multiple projects at any on time. You'll manage your time effectively to prioritise different tasks in the ongoing product development process as part of a wider engineering team/division. You'll be an effective communicator who is able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, being able to use your foundations in engineering principles to play your part in continuously improving the Machine Tool product line.
