About the role
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, performs basic repairs, maintains cleaning supplies, operate cleaning equipment. Empty all trash/ recycling cans daily and pickup garbage throughout the facility as needed or directed. Maintain oil absorbent supply at all machine areas as needed or directed. Place oil drying material on spills or leaks as instructed and remove waste material to assure safe operations within plant as needed or directed. Sweep floors around machines and / or equipment and aisles. Shovel up heavy oil or grease. Dry up water and spread sand or floor dry as required. Cleaning, painting and other project work as assigned. May make boxes, skids, or crates. Responsible for writing up and loading outside processing on all trucks as needed or directed. Check with traffic department to ascertain which truck to load and weight capacity as needed or directed. Responsible for checking quantities and weights in loading trucks and cars, position shipments according to allowable axle weight as needed or directed. Block to prevent shifting. Seal common carriers direct movement of materials to specified locations as needed or directed. Select, group and deliver to various staging areas materials for sales and shipping orders as needed or directed. Identify material as required. Check condition of material, identify items, palletize, verify quantities and check against bills of lading, packing lists or other forms as needed or directed. Maintain inventories of materials stored outside of building as needed or directed. Store, load and ship containers and/or barrels as needed or directed. Responsible for receiving and unloading of all supplies, parts and equipment purchased from outside sources or products returned by customers as needed or directed. Document receiving reports, if required. Sort and identify material going to or coming from outside processing. Separate and determine processing source. Miscellaneous work as assigned by supervisor. The functions of "C" includes all the job classifications of "D". Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate a jitney/forklift. Physical Demand and Work Environment: Physical demands- standing, bending, reaching for extended periods of time. Lift up to 50 lbs.
