As our pipeline of work grows, we are seeking an Intermediate-level Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle . Ideally, you will have experience in the structural design of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines, with previous tasks including the review of design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modelling, oversight of drafting and the preparation of reports and specifications. Building strong client relationships and demonstrating your ability to understand our client's core business you will be able to provide solutions and service to clients both off and on site. Your ideal skills and expertise: Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering A minimum of 3 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipeline) structural design Experience in managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks A commitment to working safely, and within the company's HSEQ systems Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
