Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or Optical Sciences.
• Proven track record in the fields in one or more of the fields mentioned above.
• Proven experience in integrated and free-space optics.
• Advanced programming and simulation skills in Matlab, LabView, Comsol or Lumerical are highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, both under supervision and as a part of a team.
• Term/Availability: This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

Ozdemir's group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Saint Louis University, for highly motivated scientists with strong background in the theory of non-Hermitian photonics. The successful candidate will be joining a team of theorists and experimentalists and will primarily carry out research on non-Hermitian classical and quantum photonic systems. The candidate is expected to work closely with the experimentalists in the team and supervise and train graduate students.
