Unity Studio is our cutting-edge, browser-based real-time 3D authoring tool. Our current focus is on non-gaming use cases, with an ambitious vision to evolve Studio into a universal, web-based collaboration hub for any Unity Project.
As a QA Engineer on the Unity Studio team, you will be embedded in a fast-moving, cross-functional team building the future of web-based 3D creation. You will work hands-on across features, own the testing process end-to-end, and play a key role in helping us ship a high quality product with confidence.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers from day one. You will have real ownership of the features you test, and the opportunity to shape how quality is approached as the team grows.
Responsibilities
Carry out manual and exploratory testing across features and releases, working within an agile team
Own the QA process for the features you are assigned - from requirements through to sign-off
Write, manage, and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure full scope and coverage
Manage defects throughout their full lifecycle - logging, tracking, escalating, and verifying fixes
Work closely with engineers and product managers to review requirements, surface risks, and produce test plans
Participate in sprint ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives
Collaborate with the broader QA team and all other departments to ship with quality
Contribute to process improvements and help raise the quality bar across the team
Requirements
Good understanding of testing methodologies, test plan organisation, and technical requirements.
Experience writing and executing manual test cases in line with project scope.
Strong experience with QA testing on web or mobile applications.
Experience with defect management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage workloads, and escalate where required.
Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
