Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil, or environmental, or a related field
A GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrate growth potential as well as desire to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Proficient in Civil 3D, Revit, ArcMap, or other engineering software packages
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project
Documents time and effort accurately
Interest in water/wastewater infrastructure design and a willingness to travel and work in the field as needed

AECOM is seeking a full-time or part-time Water Engineering Intern to be based in Tampa, FL .
The position is expected to begin in May 2026.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of stormwater management, water quality improvement, and water and wastewater treatment projects for a variety of clients.
Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Carry out engineering analyses, prepare reports and technical specifications, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
Collect and analyze data, perform field work, undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Attend site visits and meetings in clients' offices.
Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed.
Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level member.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water resources, water or wastewater treatment, conveyance/pipelines, or a related field.
Must have completed 2 years of study in the applicable program.
