Senior Sourcing Specialist

Requirements

• Experience in heavy equipment, manufacturing, or locomotive industry
• Familiarity with Wabtec locomotive components and supplier base
• Experience working with Oracle ERP or similar procurement systems
• What will your typical day look like?
• Lead procurement activities for production materials supporting LKZ plant operations
• Ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement aligned with locomotive assembly schedules
• Collaborate with suppliers to confirm order accuracy, delivery timelines, and compliance with technical specifications and Wabtec policies
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production
• Coordinate with internal Wabtec teams to align procurement plans with operational needs
• Track, analyze, and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, delivery performance, and supplier quality
• Support resolution of supply chain disruptions and escalate issues as required
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within ERP systems
• Assist in supplier evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing performance reviews

Who will you be working with? You will work closely with the LKZ Plant operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams, as well as Wabtec global procurement and planning functions. The role requires frequent interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials availability aligned with production schedules. How will you make a difference? As a Senior Sourcing specialist, you will support uninterrupted locomotive production by ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of production materials. Your contribution will directly impact production continuity, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and overall operational efficiency at the LKZ Plant. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited university Minimum 1 year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or related roles Fluent English skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan
