Criminal Specialist

About the role

We're looking for a meticulous, research-driven professional to join our Criminal Records team. In this role, you'll be responsible for searching US county, state, and federal court databases to locate criminal case records, extracting relevant case data, and transferring it accurately into our proprietary background screening platform. Criminal records research is one of the most technically demanding components of the background screening process. US court systems vary significantly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction - each with its own website, search logic, terminology, and data structure. Your ability to navigate unfamiliar government portals quickly, interpret legal records accurately, and distinguish genuine matches from false positives will be central to your success in this role. This is a focused, independent, production-based role. The majority of your day will be spent conducting online research and entering data - not on calls.
