About the role
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (Mega Project Manager) in the PLANNING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION DIRECTORATE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC. This position has a Selective Placement Factor which is CURRENT registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you MUST submit a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify this SPF. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Leading project teams with responsibility to coordinate and manage scope, schedule and budget for facilities design and construction 2) Coordinating all phases of facilities design and construction independently within constraints and stakeholder requirements 3) Developing, monitoring and controlling schedules in coordination with stakeholder requirements and commitments 4) Tracking and reporting project status using enterprise project management software tools, scheduled reports and briefings and unscheduled data calls 5) Coordinating the development and implementation of project acquisition plans in alignment with enterprise goals, legal constraints and best practices.
