About the role

Uber Freight Transportation Procurement Analyst (Logistics Engineers) work strategically with clients to gain an understanding of their specific supply chain challenges and to jointly explore supply chain improvement opportunities. In addition, the group provides tactical decision-making services that bridge the gap between strategic planning and operational execution. What the Candidate Will Do Internal Analytical Support Analyze consolidation savings for internal customers Ad-Hoc Reporting Statistical Analysis Supply Chain Solutions Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of customers supply chain opportunities and challenges Use advanced modeling to evaluate and optimize the customer's transportation and distribution network Lane Benchmarking (Utilize Uber Freight market knowledge and leverage existing Uber Freight data, including procurement and that of external data sources.) Help design an optimized Transportation Strategy for our customers to support their goals Lead & Manage projects Serve as engineering lead on consulting and strategic projects Interact with customers, gather requirements, prepare and present outcomes of the analysis Work with a broad team and coordinate various engineering tasks required for project completion

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Transportation/Logistics or a related field
  • At least 1 year of logistics engineering/transportation procurement (RFP) experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Basic Understanding of Supply Chain Management Principles & Strategies
  • Chemical Transportation knowledge
  • Ability to model real world distribution networks and able to analyze them
  • Ability to lead projects and work in a customer facing role
